Your wedding day should be all about you and your love story. There are some great opportunities to personalise elements of your day and a good excuse to get crafty.
The Drinks
If you’ve gone with a venue wedding package there may still be the option to upgrade some of the drinks to reflect your favourite tipples. Are you a Sauvigon Blanc household? Do you love a Pimms on a Summers day? Incorporating your favourite drinks is an easy way to personalise an element of your day.
The Stationary
This is the big one, there are so many great stationary designs that can incorporate your wedding scheme or colours and bring everything together, whether it is with a bespoke logo on a consistent font that starts with your save the dates and ends with your thank you cards.
Well throughout stationary also really enhances the guest experience, letting them know how the day will look, letting them know what they will be eating, letting them know you’re going unplugged can make the day feel really slick from a guests point of view. Whatever it is, why not personalise it, you’re going to print it anyway.
The table plan
I LOVE a personalised table plan & order of the day. They are such a great opportunity to share something special about your connection as a couple. Do you have special places to name your tables after? Do you collect gin and every table needs a different label? Are you big music fans and lyrics are your thing?
A recent favourite of mine has been this departures board as the order of the day, can you guess what the groom does for a living?
Writing your own vows
There's something incredibly touching about couples who choose to write their own vows. Sharing your feelings, promises, and personal stories in front of your loved ones adds an intimate and unique element to your ceremony. Your guests will feel more connected to your love story, and you'll create memories that will last a lifetime.
Your wedding favours
If you are a crafty person, this your time to shine, especially if you are on a budget. Perhaps you could make your own candles and add a personalised logo to them, or if you've got time, writing everyone a little note on why you love them goes a long way and doesn't cost much!
Personalising your wedding day is all about making it a reflection of who you are as a couple. Each detail you add, whether it's in the decor, the ceremony, the refreshments, or the interactions, will make your day truly special and unforgettable. So go ahead and get creative—this is your day, after all, and it should be as unique as your love story.
