Spotlight: Wells next the Sea Carnival

Anddddd we are rolling into the weekend. This weekend sees the return of Wells Carnival on Friday and it seriously is party time on the North Norfolk Coast. The quaint seaside town is coming alive; with bunting galore and a jam packed schedule for the whole family.

The crew behind the organisation of this wonderful, traditional summer carnival put their heart and soul into making sure locals and tourists alike have a wonderful week here in Wells all whilst raising loads of cash for local causes.

There are family friendly activities every day including a duck race, a sand-castle competition, a teddy bears picnic and of course the carnival day procession on Saturday 5th August. There really is something different every day.

Fear not, there is also lots to do for the adults too. If you're feeling energetic, there is a fun run scheduled for Thursday 3rd August. If you fancy trying something new there is gin tasting with local legends Blackshuck on Monday 1st August. AND if you fancy a dance there is live music on the butlands most days and in the Maltings - i remember last year thinking there is nothing better than dancing under the stairs with your mates and a beer.

Like all traditional Carnivals there will be Carnival Royalty performing very important roles throughout the week made up of a king and/or queen, two senior attendants and 4 junior attendants.A full programme can be found here: http://www.wellscarnival.co.uk/about-carnival/

Dressing up is encouraged so grab your brightest clothes and head for the coast for a good old fashioned good time!
